Description Indigenous to East Asia, Japan, China and Korea. This hardy shrub will grow to a height of about 80 cm, produces many upright, blue-violet flowers and has a mint as well as anis-like scent. It is compact and sturdy. The long flowering period runs from June until October and attracts lots of butterflies. The Korean mint is perfectly suitable for a fragrance-, shrub- or farmer’s garden. It is also perfect for tub cultivation. A cut back after flowering often enough results in a second flowering period within the same year. Sowing Advice Scatter the seeds over strained herb soil or moist cultivation soil, cover thinly with the soil and keep evenly moist. The seeds do even germinate in regular garden soil or garden ground, respectively.
